The diagram above demonstrates the difference between the surface area that is in contact with the trachea when using a VentiSeal Cuffed tube and a competitor tube. The cuff length of the VentiSeal endotracheal tube enables the pressure to be distributed over a larger surface thus minimizing the pressure placed on the tracheal wall and reducing the risk of tracheal wall necrosis.
